Alcatel-Lucent is one of seven partners in a project called in French the “Cercle Passeport Télécoms”, a program to give business-style mentoring to students from modest backgrounds and help them to get into the top universities. Alcatel-Lucent launched a competition called “We Made It” to allow some of these students to come to the United States to see Alcatel-Lucent’s operations here and to get to know the American way of life.
